Arsenal have been given major encouragement in their pursuit of Nabil Fekir after the midfielder’s agent admitted that the player’s future at Lyon is uncertain.
The 24-year-old has been one of the standout players in Ligue 1 this season with 16 goals and 6 assists in 23 appearances.
Last week, reports claimed that Arsene Wenger has urged Arsenal to complete a deal for Fekir before France’s World Cup campaign this summer.
Arsenal are reportedly willing to spend £45 million on the France international, who is being constantly monitored by Wenger’s scout Gilles Grimandi.
And when asked if Fekir will be at Lyon next season, the midfielder’s agent Jean-Pierre Bernes told Telefoot: ‘It’s too early to talk about it.
‘We have time, that’s the straight line.
‘There are important goals and he is already in a big club.
‘After considering my relationship with [Lyon president] Jean-Michel Aulas, we will make the best decision.’
